A Lucid Dream
I dreamed a dream so dark, but so full of light,
Because my mind was gradually giving me sight,
To the fact that I was not facing reality's might,
But another world I could nestle in for the night.
I readily realized I was a free soul,
Able to fly over this anarchic land of liberty,
Which I had built to defy the real hole,
That traps me during the day, showering its futility.

this is a good one...
Spent so much time as loner myself MiKe
Probably still am came to think of it
When everyone goes right I go left
I just like it that way.So I can relate.
This is the first attempt to get close to people I've made even though they're far away.I like it.
Nice poem,MiKe
Hope all is well

was on the poemster's site and saw your link...came into take a look!
what i saw i did enjoy
but wonder all about this boy
i say he is because i am old
but he's so much older really and much more bold
i too my dear one was a loner at best
and all around i put to the test
and failed they did my rates were to high
and i sat one day and wondered why
wasnt words gone wrong or actions so deep
that made me turn and the hate to creep
or perhaps it was my point of view
that none agreed or was misconstued
but alas one day a friend i was sent
and now the time is time well spent
but i still am wary of whom they may be
and i ll always be careful of what they will see
if you are a loner than alone you will be
but if you are just in hurt then open and see
that one day a friend you may need by your side
and please my dear mike, from them never hide
take care,
all my love,
PEG
that was awsome, one I'm gonna have to read a few times to digest. I'm new to your sight (via the_poemster's link to you) You got a great way with words. look forward to seeing more......
Mike,
Time to take it out of nuetral,,MiKe.
That would be real cool.
I hope all is well.
No MiKe, I'd like to try that real soon though.
Welcome back!
In the absence of light
I'm lost in the night
alone in a world of darkness
I'm looking for sight
Not knowing who might
Give me that gift of such blessedness
Though I toil and fight
Who's wrong and who's right
I'm still by myself in the darknes

But during the night, can you not see,
That only in darkness are you truly free?
Light exposes you to the eyes of humanity,
Which prevents you from living in harmony.
In the dark you are invisible to human eyes,
And you are alone, yes, alone, but free,
To do whatever you please, even if unwise.
If you don't seek obscurity,
You shall never find liberty.
MiKe
Sure was good to see you,Mike.
Hope all is going well.
More poemage,please.
